cooking on the grill

Post by brent » Sun Apr 17, 2011 12:50 pm

What do you guys use when you grill? I soak mesquite wood in water and get it suh-mokin'. I have cooked catfish on there. What is the most unique thing you grill?

Grilled pizza is very good. I also make a grilled chicken that includes grilled tomatoes as a topping.

I like mesquite the best. Second place is the used oak chips used to age Tabasco sauce. After about 20 years they send them to the chipper and bag them for grilling. Soak em in some water and grill with charcoal. I have plans for a natural gas grill but have not purchased it yet. I grill vegetables, mushrooms and ribeye the most. For the veggies (squash, onions, peppers, etc) just a little olive oil with garlic does the trick.
