Yeah these guys were quality. I saw them in a small town church. It was a big church for the small town though. Good sound and great songs. Those were the days, when even the small shows were really good.

I saw them early 80's in Orange, Tx in a small high school gym. I also saw Petra there in early 1981 and this was a true moment in Petra history for this was Mark & Louie's first show with the band.

I've always liked David and the Giants. That video was cool. However, as with anything on youtube, people can't just watch a video and take it for what it is without some religious poindexter getting bent out of shape about it. I'm refering to the comments under the video. Read em and weep, or shake you head like I did.

I once had to choose between going to see David And The Giants or going to see Stryper.

I chose to go see DaTG, and I am sure I made the right call. Some of us actually got to hang around after the concert and talk to the band. They didn't have alot of mone for "Roadies", so after the show, they packed up their own equipment.

We offered to help, but they declined because they had a certain way they packed and unpacked every time that made things so much simpler for them, and it was easier and quicker to just do it themselves rather than have to explain to us how where everything went and how.

We understood and njoyed our time talking to them while they were packing up. It was over 20 years ago, and I so I don't remember much for the conversation. They were my second favorite band at the time, next to Petra (of course), so mostly I was just happy to say I had spent some time just shooting the breeze with them.

My friends who chose Stryper that night came back saying they would probably have enjoyed DaTG better. I certainly have no regrets about my decision that night.

You saw real sold out people believing what they were singing that night. The people that went to Stryper couldn't have said that back then.

Yeah you could always tell that they sold out for Jesus

DATG or Stryper sounds like a win -win to me, but since it's possible to see one and not the other now I'd say that DATG was a good call.

I brought D&tG to my town for a show in 1998. Theirs was by far the easiest and smoothest concert I had ever promoted. Great bunch of guys!
