You know that feeling you get when a celebrity dies it is always feels like a shock... but for some reason Whitney Houston is no shock at all.

She grew up hearing about Jesus at church. Her momma was a gospel singer. She got up at the Doves and sang, "Jesus Loves Me". The news stories, reality show, and industry smack all scream that she was out of control. How sad for her family to helplessly watch her spiral.

Not a shock in the slightest- what a great voice she had.

They've been talking about her drug abuse, but not too many people ever talk about her horrible cigarette habit she had. Why a great singer would ever pick up a cig habit is beyond me?

Many rock singers smoke too, not the best for the vocal cords.

JD Sumner smoked....didn't hurt him. He kind of needed it. As men age, they lose body in their voices. Some of those Whitney clips are terrible. She shot her pipes. Pot is not good for the pipes, much worse than cigs.
