Sigh, that's sad. I loved watching the Monkees when I was a kid...I was probably about 8 or so when that show was on the air. I still love Daydream Believer.

This was a big shock for me. I've long been a big fan of the Monkees. I have all their albums and even their Missing Links albums that are filled with unreleased songs and alternate takes. I listened to them so much that my oldest daughter could sing their songs before she could really even talk and as such she became a big fan as well. Davy was one of younger members of the group, so I never imagined he's be the first to go. Actually, thought we might lose Peter as he had a battle with cancer in recent years. Just goes to show you that you never know when your time is up. Just a week a half ago he was still doing concerts. They did one last tour this past summer and they came to Minneapolis which is a about 200 miles from me and my daughter really wanted me to take her, but for some reason I didn't. Definitely regretting that now.

Unlike most 60's music I liked them; their tunes are very catchy and easy to sing along with.
