Larry Hamgan died of cancer on Friday at the age of 81.

He was a great actor. It takes talent to portray the two extremes of a good guy like Major Nelson and a creep like J.R.

He was tearing it up w/ the most recent Dallas reboot. My favorite role he played was the Army Major in Superman. That and Major Nelson.

Not a Dallas fan, but you got love all his one liners as JR Ewing.

I didn't watch Dallas regularly, but he stole the show in the episodes I did happen to see. It just would not have been the same without him; he was perfect in that role. And from what I understand, he was great in the newer version too, although I've only seen bits and pieces of it. That evil chuckle..Creepy.
I liked Patrick Duffy too...He was great as Bobby Ewing. It says something when people get so ticked off when you kill off a character they will bring him back and have it be someone's dream.
