The new Dream theater self titled album is streaming. It is very good as usual. It sounds a bit compressed due to sound cloud. But other than that, incredible as you would come to expect!!

Last night, all of the females of those were gone. I ate my medium pizza, returned some emails, watched a little TV, then....I turned the lights down low, and turned on the stream. I tried not to read the comments and just listen. What a killer album this will be. The mix is totally different from past records. They tipped their hats to so many known styles, sounds, players and bands. You play your influences. It is easy to tell who influenced them. There are couple of predictable moments. But, they are who they are and have been doing it for so long. It is to be expected.
They are headed to the main stream. This is one step closer. I predict we will have a Kevin Moore like 3:30 tune on the next one, and it will be on rock radio.

I think it is very good. Mike Mancini is a beast!!!! The illumination theory is worth the price alone.

Wish I could see the Luna concert in a theater, no dice. Had to order the BlueRay.

Right!? I did go to see the Metallica film on Imax. As awesome as it was, it was still apples and oranges compared to DT.

I wanted to go see the Metallica movie, but would have had to go by myself. The first week's sales were pretty poor. How did it sound?

You would really need to see it on imax. The sound was epic!!! Great mix and a great performance. The "movie" part I could've done without. Just seeing the concert footage wouldve been enough for me. I really enjoyed it though. The first song was Creeping Death which is one of my face.

The concert DVD was finally released and I received it Friday. It is a good show. The only drag is the resolution of some of the POV cams on the keys and drums. On a big ol' Plasma playing a Blue Ray disc, the changes in resolution are drastically different. Highly recommended for hard core DT fans.

Just got it last week. Love, love, love it!!!! Even though Labrie stinks, he sounded better than I thought it would be.

I can't imaging DT with anyone else singing, but wish I could hear other options some times.

I've tried getting this band and will admit they are great musicians but what is the big deal? I find their songs to be really uneven and a lot of the times the lyrics really just don't mesh with some songs that seem to be aggressive musically.

This is exactly why drummers should never be entrusted with lyrics, especially when they need psychiatric help and freedom from addictions.
