Watchmen - The Other Sweet

Post by gman » Mon Jun 04, 2018 2:20 pm

Anybody listen to these guys back in the day? I still pull up their album on YouTube from time to time and rock out. It's probably my favorite little known album. I think I listened to the demo tape, liked what I heard, and thought it was cool that the insert was a heavy glossy paper. I thought Greg "the other" Sweet's vocals were killer, and Kevin Whisler, who also played drums for Bloodgood did a fantastic job. There's one song that might be a tad cheesy, but I think it features an awesome Sax part, and great bass line.

Classic 80's flavored Christian metal. Good stuff.

I appreciate that the production is decent. There's a lot Christian metal where the songs were good, but the sound didn't have any beef.
