Stryper History Tour - May 10, 2019 Greenville, SC

I went to the Stryper concert on Friday night, May 10, 2019, at "The Firmament", a small venue just off of Woodruff Road, in Greenville, SC. The announced attendance was 501. It was mostly a standing only venue, which served alchohol and pizza by the slice which as a result provided a few chairs and a couple of booths off to the left side of the stage, to the back.

It was my first Stryper concert and I left very impressed. They had two opening acts: Osara, an unsigned local band from a couple of hours away in Columbia, SC, and Fiftywatt Freight Train, a band from Charlotte, NC, both brought in by the promoter. I think this was a one off for these bands on the tour but I could be wrong.

Stryper sounded great. Being on their "History Tour", their emphasis was on their favorites, both from the band and from their influencese, and as a result they played a mix of Stryper songs and covers.

My friend the other day had heard and liked a few Stryper songs, so a few days later he comes up to me and says "I like stripper", I asked him what he meant and he said "that band stripper"....

That's when I realised he meant Stryper
