Favorite thing about Fall

I don't know where you all live, how much of fall you really get, or what festivities go on in your country/state, but what is your favorite thing about it? I live in Southwest Minnesota, where there's a lot of corn; cold, short Falls; and everybody loves Thanksgiving. I’m going to be really honest, and this sounds corny (along with my pun) but I love the sounds of the corn & grain elevators at night. It sounds kinda southern for a Minnesotan but it's so cozy, I can't describe it. I also love these tiny little apples that grow on a tree at the edge of a park by my house that pretty much only I go to. And the way the air feels is so lovely.

And, do you say Autumn or Fall? 🍁

It's sorta almost here, so I was wondering what people were thinking cause I almost get too excited for it when it's coming.

I love fall and winter. The cooler air is always something to look forward to. I love a nice cloudy fall day.

Fall is my favourite season. I love the smell of the forest at this time of year and the mosquitoes start to disappear in my area soon. Fall also has Thanksgiving, my birthday, and I love the kids' Hallowe'en costumes. I feel blessed to live in a region with 4 distinct seasons, although it does hit -40 here on occasion.

Exactly. My parents don't really let us do much on Halloween but I still love that time of year, except the flies are the worst at this time.

The weather is really nice in fall... I love the colour of the trees, the cold icy wind, somehow I feel more alive then... That season makes me feel nostalgic. Also we have Thanksgiving then, earlier than in America though, I suppose

It's bittersweet though because I know we are probably in for a long winter and I'll very soon miss the warm weather and the grass and green leaves😂

I usually hear people say fall here in Canada, not autumn

Not surprising that we feel the same way! Minnesota is pretty close to Canada.

I'm also in Canada, in Manitoba, just north of Minnesota.

I live in Colorado, where we don't really experience fall as such. It's just a period of alternating summer and winter. Today being the perfect example; It was 80-some degrees yesterday, and today was a high of 38 and the first snow.

Oh…
Our first snow is usually in late-mid October, or November. Lately though it's been super cold and grey

Where I live in western Canada it usually comes in October or November as well. Unfortunately it lasts a long time, often into April sometimes into may

Yes, that's exactly how it is here
Next month we'll probably get a snow
