The Petra Zone

Hii Petra people!!
I haven't been on here in at least a year, lol. I don't have much reason to be, now, I guess.
But it's been about 7 years since I joined, and I used to post a lot.
My interests have changed dramatically since I first started listening to and discovering music and stuff for myself, but I've used less and less media these days.
I never use forum sites, I don't go on Instagram, or really hardly anything for that matter, I guess.
Of course, I still listen to tons of music, just vastly different genres nowadays. It seems everything about me has changed, which is only natural, I guess.
I think being a Christian teenager has led me through mountains of change in the heart and mind, and as I surrender to God more and more, He even tests me by changing the external things I had foolishly put my trust in, like music, and writing. I don't write so much as I used to, which is probably also simply because I'm busier and because I don't currently have the drive to write about stuff all the time because most of my teenage emotions are out on paper and I'm growing up. I don't stress about stuff anymore, I don't overthink or feel insecure about my personality or amount of friends as much anymore, either. God is setting me free to live the life I need to live in order to truly be a light to others without crowding it out with my own darkness. My music taste shifted completely, and it's actually made me happier and brightened my life with a fresh motivation to be myself and live "my best life" as they say. At least a better one, anyways. Lastly, growing up with two younger sisters who are older than I was when I started this account has been challenging, but I really hope rewarding, because it's not always sunshine and rainbows when they're going through somewhat angsty phases and I'm just getting out of them.
I plan on moving overseas to the UK by the end of this year, and I hope that goes well and smoothly. I can't wait to see what else God has for my life : )
Maybe I'll get some of my own stuff out there in the world- music, writing, mini films etc.

Sounds good that you seem to be doing well. Glad to hear it. It’s funny how life changes as we get older, and how we change along with it. Musical tastes are a strange thing for sure. So many moments in life can be shaped, enhanced and defined by our music. My own musical journey began with 70s and 80s Christian rock, and eventually expanded to scoop up many other genres along the way. Some things got pushed aside for a while only to return years later. It’s a process. Anyway, keep hold of a positive outlook on life, stay close to the Lord, and let him direct you on your path no matter where it takes you.
