On this date in 1966, John Lennon was quoted in the London Evening Standard as saying 'Beatles are bigger than Jesus'.

I think it's fair to say, considering the box office results for the last week, that at least as of 2004, John has been proven wrong.

(I wonder how much money Yellow Submarine pulled in at the box office?)
