Yup. Hangin' out with family in Ohio. Plus I have a full-time job stacking bread at a bakery. Not way too fun but I'm making fistloads-a-money to pay them college bills.

Haha, yeah, some of those American phrases probably sound pretty strange to people when their first language isn't English. :) Message boards are a very good place to learn another language. The Spanish forum is helping me with my Spanish, but I still understand it better than I speak it. :P

ahsuhsauhas

yeah, it sounds funny to me, but not weird

Cool that you`re learning spanish.
I can understand spanish whem I`m reading it, but I can`t neither talk or speak.

Dan writes some very funny sentences in portuguese, at the portuguese zone.
They are funny cause you`re never gonna see someone talking like that :P
He`s got the talent to learn languages!

And, do you have any interest for portuguese?

I would really like to learn Portuguese some day, but I want to learn Spanish very well first; I like to learn one thing at a time, LOL.

I've looked at the Portuguese forum, and it seems similar to Spanish in many ways, but there are still some big differences. :) And there are some big differences between Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil.

the long update

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Fri Jul 13, 2007 4:52 pm

I always say things that make absolutely no sense. I guess I like to confuse people. (as long as I clarify myself later, of course) Speaking of nonsense, what the heck does "ahsuhsauhas" mean?

My summer's still okay but I am so ready to be done with my job at the bakery. Eight hours (with 2 breaks) of stacking bread in a hot, smelly factory 5 times a week really suckz, lemme tell ya. By July 31 I'm gettin' the heck outta there. I just pray I'll have the patience to get thru these last couple weeks, and that next summer I'll find a job I like. I do enjoy driving there and back though. I usually put in a classic rock or Weird Al cd, crank it up and sing with it at the top of my lungs.

Today's a day off so I'm hanging loose and using the computer at my aunt and uncle's house. I've also been doing a lot of songwriting work lately. My parents finally found a house, so praise God for that. As for now we are still living with my grandparents, but my parents will probably move in to the new house by the time I'm back at college. On August 13 I start marching band practice and then classes on the 20th. This is my fourth year.

hi Dan.
It is never good having a job that you do thing you dont like to do.
It's kinda stormy time( it may sound pretty weird and nonsense :D )

You're a song writer too. I forgot that!

man, you need to get a heck of a computer

And, aushushuashaush means a laugh
 auhsuahusha
It's kinda a random set of letters... nonsense stuff

I'd like you were my homie.
We'd speak lota languages(idioms :?:, the same :?: )

God bless you, my best wishes to you

yeah, shell.
The differences between Brazil's and Portugal's portuguese are big.
I swear I cannot understand a portuguese person speaking.
To understand a little bit of what they are talking about, I have to listen up very carefully, and I even miss some words...
I even take time to realize that the person is speaking portuguese.

That's why I dont like portuguese at all.

t b! b t?

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Fri Jul 27, 2007 6:53 pm

yeah, Brazilians say the word noite like "noi-chee" but in Portugal they say it like "noi-tuh," right? or something like that...

In my Portuguese class last spring my professora showed some clips from the Brazilian news programs Globo and Fantstico and I could hardly understand a single word anyone was saying - but that's because I don't understand spoken Portuguese very well in the first place, no matter which country it's from... :(
