Here's a fun quiz about Christian music in 1986. Appropriately, many of the questions have to do with Petra or Greg X. Volz.

My score was 22/25 (I missed one of the questions about Greg X. ...how embarrassing!!)

I probably would score higher on a "Remember 1986" quiz than a "Remember 2006" quiz. And I was 5 for the majority of 1986.

Snot. 20/25. Whoever made this was Stryper happy. There was allot more music in 86 that was great.

I got 15/25 but I only knew the answers to 10 of the questions. I got 5 points for lucky guesses! Ha ha

I got 18/25 with some good guessing on a few of those. I thought it was heavy on several artists. There was a lot more good music than what they mentioned.
86 was a good year. I'm a big Stryper fan, and To Hell With the Devil would defintely make my list of greatest Christian albums. However, for me personally, the biggest thing to come from that year was the Big Picture album. Though I discovered the live album that followed that one first, it was the songs of that era that forever changed life for me.

My three favorite albums from that era (although not exactly that year) are Beat The System, The Big Picture by Michael W. Smith (which you mentioned), and Sheep In Wolves' Clothing by Mylon & Broken Heart. I remember the first time I listened to The Big Picture... there was so much going on in the recording that I was physically exhausted from listening to it. It was AWESOME!
