Prayer coming your way, brent.
I know how you feel...I'm currently battling a bug myself. Last night I got chills that kept me shaking all night. I have a down comforter on my bed, along with two other blankets, and I
still felt like I was freezing.
I really thought about calling in sick at work today, but another employee called in last night, and my boss wasn't too happy about it. So...I've got Day-Quil liquidcaps, cough syrup, Tylenol, and my asthma inhaler with me at work tonight.
Yeah, I'm a walking pharmacy.

You sound like me. I had Influenza C for a week and then Pneumonia. I HAVE to work through it. It sucks. What you really need is a 125 pound black lab to keep you warm.

With the 1-2 punch of asthma and allergies, my immune system is only like 80% of what it should be. I catch the flu at least once every winter. No matter how much orange juice and vitamins I take, it doesn't help. I jokingly tell people that I could pull a Howard Hughes and live in a germ-free room, and somehow I'd still get sick.
When the flu shot first came out years ago, I was one of the first in line for it. I ended up catching the flu nine times that winter. Yes, you read that right...NINE TIMES! I later talked to an asthma specialist about it, and he told me that for about 2% of the general population, the flu shot actually makes it worse. Guess who falls in that 2%?

I recommend a daily dose of Vitamin R (rock)
