I am now officially hooked on coffee

This week I had my first real cup of coffee. Previously I had never wanted to drink coffee because it tastes horrible by itself. But I just discovered that if I add plenty of Coffee Mate to it it's pretty dang good. Now I want more!! :( Hope I don't become addicted.

Coffee makes me tired. Yes, I'm weird that way.

I always have my first cup on the way to work, and then the staff assistant always has a nice pot brewing when I show up. Co workers know not to bother me until I've had my cup of coffee. I can also have a cup before I go to bed and it will not affect my sleep at all; I can't even watch TV in bed without falling asleep in the first 5 minutes.

No, sir...no you didn't.

Case in point ---->

:P

I too am a coffee addict. However, I am a MAN and drink mine BLACK!

Black coffee is good, I have had bad coffee as well, though. The key is no el cheapo brands, and don't skimp on the the grounds when making it.

I hope it was organic and fair traded.

What if it had been the Boston Coffee Party instead of the Boston Tea Party? I guess they decided not to go that route because "Boston Coffee Party" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Coffee is pretty horrible. That said, I react to it. The beans smell okay.

I'm not a big fan of the taste of coffee myself unless it has all kinds of sugar and flavorings mixed in, but at that point, it's not really coffee, it's Starbucks.

When I buy tea at the coffee and tea merchants, I like to smell the coffee beans. These of course are quality beans so maybe that's why they smell good. Starbuck's coffee smells burnt and stale.

Obviously crossways is the only Christian in this discussion. Sheesh. If it's not good enough to drink black, it's not real coffee.
