names of Heaven
I would like to know some different names of Heaven; Certainly from the Bible, but also other books and authors.

I'm looking for a Christian point of view, and not humanistic view from Google.Jonathan wrote:I was serious. Clearly you don't want metaphorical names. Why don't you use Google?

Google has a view? And I always thought it was an inanimate search engine.executioner wrote:I'm looking for a Christian point of view, and not humanistic view from Google.Jonathan wrote:I was serious. Clearly you don't want metaphorical names. Why don't you use Google?

If that's the case, then I would think Jonathon's suggestion to try google would be your best bet.

watashi wa tengoku e ikimasu
Boom. Thread open again.
Well, lessee, there's "Paradise" or "Golden City" but those probably wouldn't work for middle names. Though if you change the E in Paradise to an O, you get "Paradiso," a pretty cool artsy-sounding name you could use.
Then you have the word for heaven in other languages: cielo (Spanish/Italian), céu (Portuguese), ciel (French), Himmel (German), hemel (Dutch), cheonguk (Korean), tengoku (Japanese)
Not sure if any of those are serious enough though.

Well the full name is very unusual and will probably get blasted but we really like the unusual things. So the name for our boy is going to be
Nazareth Or
We all know where and what Nazareth stands for, but Or in Hebrew means Light of Zion. Our 13 month old girl is named Ezra Zion so the 2 will go hand in hand I guess you could say.

I know I was picked on heavily with my name being Executioner and all, but I survived and I feel it made me a better person overall.
