I haven't heard too much new stuff that I like on the national scene. A local band here, The Skies Revolt, released a new album ("Is Alive and Well") that is like nothing I have ever heard before, and its pretty amazing. I've been liking Andy Hunter a lot lately too, and his "Colour" album is pretty cool. I liked "Opposite Way" by Leeland.

It's much easier to complain. The most infuriating music I have heard this year includes "There Will be Day" by Jeremy Camp. Its not so much the lyrics, its the groaning earnest with which he sings. Plus it's constantly on.

"Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman. Enough said.

So my top ten list in no particular order is:
1. For Redemption - The Skies Revolt
2. Count Me In - Leeland
3. Bury Your Flame - La Dispute
4. A Life Across from Easy Street - The Blessed Hope
5. Miracle - Andy Hunter
6. O Come O Come Emmanuel - Sixpence None the Richer
7. Sacred Heart - Daniel Amos
8. Captives Come Home - Run Kid Run
9. Say So - Willie Will
10. Meet My Band - DJ Skillspinz
