I posted this in the Election 2004 thread, but thought it really should be it's own topic, in case anyone else out there saw this too.

Speaking of Hollywood, did anyone see Fox News this morning? Stephen Baldwin (one of the brothers of Alec Baldwin the liberal wacko) is a born-again Christian, and was on Fox News promoting a Christian, what was it now, a Christian skateboard track? Yeah! Did anyone else see that? Wow, he testified to some extent about Christ. I thought I was hallucinating at first.

I was in one of the local Christian stores the other day, and noticed a promotional piece for a movie called "Livin' It", which I think is about the skateboard thing he's doing. I saw his picture on the promo and kinda wondered if this was the real deal.

I saw part of it, not all. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He is in the minority if he is for real though. Hollywood does not have a good atmosphere for Christians to live out their faith.

Well, he seemed authentic. Not only is he in for a bad environment if he stays in Hollywood, but the environment will be downright hostile since Hollywood types despise Christians. Plus, if he became a Republican, that's a near guarantee for early retirement.

Hollywood doesn't like Republicans.

It's a shame how it seems to be okay for every group to have rights except Christians.

I've always liked Stephen Baldwin, ever since I used to watch Young Riders. He always seemed like a much more laid back, down to earth guy than his brothers, and I'd always wondered if he was saved.

There are a few Hollywood people who are Republican and/or Christian and have made it alright. Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzennegar (sp?), and Tom Selleck come to mind.

Tom Selleck (was a big-time Reagan supporter)
James Woods
Bo Derek
Stephen Baldwin? (he is a Christian, yes, but a Republican?)
The lady who plays Ray Barone's wife on Everybody Loves Raymond

Tom may have been a Reagan supporter, but I'm sure many were. He was a likeable guy and he was an actor at one time. Ahnold may be a republican by association only. I will say that he is republican in that he has strong beliefs about the way in which things should be done and unlike the Dems he's not afraid to voice them and he doesn't back away from them. Some of his ideas though don't exactly fit with traditional republican values. Being republican these days though doesn't automatically mean one is conservative either. Bush does his fair share of heavy spending and I don't know what he was thinking about the southern border.

These are all good points. I mainly was just taking a stab at listing all the Republicans (er... RINOs, maybe? ... Republican In Name Only) I could think of.

I certainly hoped Bush would be more conservative than his actions have otherwise shown. Be that as it may, Bush is a MUCH better choice than any democrat.

I don't care to see any democrat in office. Kerry is a nightmare. We don't want the Whitehouse to be serving waffles anytime soon.
