Post by PetraFan007 » Mon Apr 26, 2004 9:49 pm

OK, I'm seriously making a CD with all the songs by Mat (with antioch and blood n fire) that I have because they are well done and he has a great rock voice. HERE'S my CD!

MAT GAUTHIER'S GREATEST HITS
WITH ANTIOCH AND BLOOD 'N FIRE

1. THE DEVIL WENT DOWN TO SARNIA
2. LOVING YOU
3. SURRENDER
4. JUDAS' KISS
5. FREE
6. WE WON'T LET DEMPSTER DOWN
7. THEY SANG THEIR SONGS
8. GOD GAVE ROCK AND ROLL TO YOU
9. BONUS! BIRTHDAY SONG

Can't wait to blare this down the street in the middle on June, especially track 9 ;). Heh.

I'll always be your fan dude (everyone knows that by now :-D)!

Peace.

Yeah, Mat's got some great songs there. If you're listening to the Antioch Version of Free, you can note that that is Bryan from Andband playing Bass. He was the Bass player for Antioch before Mat. Mat was on the song however as he did the guitar solo and was one of the backup singers. That song was allot of fun to record!

Are you talking about the Spice Girls birthday song? Cause if you are your all Mat Gauthier collection is tainted. :D Mat wasn't part of that. Every year I record a birthday song for my wife Rachel and her twin sister Marcie. It's been pretty funny over the last couple years. First I did an original. It was a rap. Very funny! I was MC Fee. Then I redid that Proclaimers song 500 miles. It was all about the whole recording process and called 500 songs. Then I did the Spice girls song after watching Saturday Night Live one day. They were the music guest and I couldn't believe how simple the song was. So I learned it and recorded it that day. I'm working on a new birthday song based on Joan Jett's I love Rock and roll, called Grab a stroller and Roll.

So, boot-legging songs, eh? I'll see YOU in court! Just kidding. Actually my wife stumbled onto your post my mistake. She was just checking to see if my new website would come up after putting my name in the search engine and voila - your post came up. I'm glad you enjoyed those tunes. I enjoyed recording them. If you're interested, I have some other heavy stuff you might enjoy. Have you ever heard the parody I did for Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55"? It was a song I did for my brother's 37th birthday. I called it, "18 Shy Of 55". That one rocks, too.

Anyway, if you're interested in them, let me know and I can probably Email them to you. My website has just begun and I haven't been able to put a link to these songs yet.

Thanks for your encouragement. It was great meeting you! God bless!

BTW - keep checking my website. I should have video and audio soon. Lot's of serious and fun stuff.

Mat.
