What's Your Favorite Rez Band Song????
I have to go with Colours.
Kicks off with a strong bass line mixed with fun leading guitars. Great melody. Real drums. Incredible guitar solo. Has my feet tapping all the way through it. If I was having a bad day, I'd put on Colours. Just for how great it is musically. Then add in really strong Christian lyrics.
"Whatever one could ask of faith, obedience will give.
Together all express the love in hearts where Jesus lives."
Rez Band is still "new" to me and is there anything more fun and awesome than finding a new "favorite" song. So any input is appreciated.

Shadows, Silience Screams, and Song & Dance are probably my top 3.

Besides Colours, I'm really enjoying Players, Hidden Man, Irish Garden, 2000, Right On Time, The House Is On Fire, Song And Dance, The Road, Tears In The Rain and Walk Away.
I'm going to get the Lament CD. I'm really impressed with what I've heard so far.
Not a lot of responses on this. I thought there would be more Rez Band fans on a Petra message board.

Lament is a great CD; its different from your usual Rez stuff, but its really good. So far what is your favorite CD of theirs? I like probably Silence Scream & Civil Rites about the best.Disciple wrote:Besides Colours, I'm really enjoying Players, Hidden Man, Irish Garden, 2000, Right On Time, The House Is On Fire, Song And Dance, The Road, Tears In The Rain and Walk Away.

Rez has a new retroperspective DVD out now on their web site; It's only $7.95 and is about 1 hour in length.

I'm going to order Lament and Civil Rites as my first two CD's of theirs. I'll let you know what I think.
Do you hate Ampendectomy? I downloaded 4 songs from it -- 2000, Broken Promises, Right On Time and Souls For Hire not realizing that these were remakes of the originals. I like them all 4. Wondered what your opinion was executioner. I know from reading on here that you like your rock heavy.

I actually like it; its alot better than what Petra did Double Take wise. They stayed true to the original songs. The strongest tracks IMO are Lovespeak, The House is On Fire, I Need Your Love, So In Love With You, Shadows, & Can't Stop Loving You. On a production note this album really sounds great, and I think just about all the Rez productions over the years were so much better than Petra's. I would recommend it and also the 2 you plan on buying; IMO you can't go wrong with anything Rez did from Silence Screams on.

I've been listening to alot of The Glenn Kaiser Band lately; the 2 CD's I have of them is really good, hard rockin' blues.

I like OLD Rez, when they still called themselves Resurrection Band. Favorite tune is Waves. Really cool guitar riff, blistering vocals.

This is a very tough question. They are like Petra in that there are so many really good songs. Some standouts though for me would be songs like Tears in the Rain, Shadows, You Get What You Choose, Silence Screams, Alter of Pain, Area 312, American Dream, Love Comes Down, Paint a Picture, Mommy Don't Love Daddy Anymore and many, many more.

If you like Petra you might like my music. You can download it free.

I know it is very hard too choose, it just depends what type of mood I'm in. Petra is the only band that IMO goes before Rez in my ranks; Bloodgood was be a distant third.
