Romney's VP choice
Who should be his choice? I like the top 3 prospects and I think they both have their pros/cons.
Condi Rice- Is a great choice because of the experience she has and also she rates really well with the women vote & also the middle aged conservative African American male. This could pull votes away from Obama in his 2 strongest demos. The con with her is that she is too closely aligned with the Bush Era and there are alot of voters that want to avoid that at all costs, and also I believe her to be even more moderate than Romney. I believe the Tea Party would have reservations about this ticket and I believe they will sway the election.
Marco Rubio- I love his plans on Immigration and the ecomony; He is the only one that has any clue with what to do with the immigration issue, with him as VP they could actually get the problem either solved or put on the right course for the future. He is also a very strong conservative that could offset Romney's moderate views. The cons with him is he is compared to Sarah Palin in the area of experience & youth, and even though I liked Palin as the choice in 08 I think that issue was a strong reason the RNC lost the election. I do believe his views on Cuba are also a hinderance, but could be overlooked.
Rob Portman- This guy is a wild card and could get Ohio to side with Romney. I have a host of relatives in Ohio and they adore him there and even there are strong Democrat areas that has sided with him on issues. The cons with him is nobody outside of the Midwest really knows him including me; Ohio is important but would it sacrifice other states like Florida, Virginia, & Colorado just to get it in the Electoral?
Lets see everyone's opinions and other choices!!!

Re: Romney's VP choice
Chris Christie. I don't care what his views are. He's turning around NJ, which is where I grew up, and when he speaks he's a rock star. He could beat Biden in a debate just by showing up. He could give his convention speech with a donut in one hand, a big gulp in the other, and some pizza and cheesesteaks off to the side. It would be the greatest speech ever.
How about going hollywood and getting someone like Tom Selleck. Seriously. They could trot him out every so often as Magnum P.I. That would be fantastic. If he could work in Chuck Norris and Ted Nugent, that would great as well.

Re: Romney's VP choice
If Romney goes with Rice, Rubio, or Christie I think Biden is out, and Hillary will slide in. I don't think Christie & Rice really wants it but I guess could be persuaded like Cheney was in 2000. Tom Selleck is really not that far of a reach, but doubts he would give up his very profitable show status. The other 2 you mentioned I like but they are really way out there and I think it would make Romney look like a joke.
The thing with Hillary is Obama and her don't get along at all, but Obama has lost alot say in the DNC, and there are also alot in the upper chambers of the DNC really wanted Obama to say I'm not running again(read Bill Kristol's Column) and Hillary would take the nomination.

Re: Romney's VP choice
He needs a rockstar VP, and the Hollywood right definitely needs to come out strong and take part in the campaign in some way. The problem is that the Hollywood left can come out strong with immunity, while those on the right risk their career if they speak out.

Re: Romney's VP choice
I don't think Condi Rice will accept the job and I think its for the best because other than her having the experience I really don't think she is conservative enough for me, her mildly pro choice stance is a really a hugh turn off for me. I think Portman is a nice pick, but is it too safe? Rubio IMO is the way to go.
