Can any programmers make this happen if I supply artwork?
I know there's Petra Midi stuff that can play in the background.

Re: Petris
Hmmm... I once hacked the Commodore 64 game "Le Mans" and exchanged the cars for flying electric guitars and changed the name to "Beat the System" though. I can't make the game available as that of course would be a severe breaking of copyrights but here are two snapshots for you:Jonathan wrote:How is Petris coming along?

Did anyone end up helping you Jonathan? I don't think there are any programmers that use this forum...

Nobody did this, so all hope is currently lost.

Re: Petris
It's like everything else in life: If you want something done - then do it yourself! And if you don't want to learn how to program, then maybe you can pay someone to make a game. It will probably just take 10 days of hard work 10 hours a day, so maybe $1800 is a fair price and a welcome income for some poor software engineering student. But before that, you have to make agreements with the involved record companies to be able to use the artwork. Good Luck.

Re: Petris
I was thinking of these MIDI files today. I really like Armed and Dangerous. A fun blast from the past.

Re: Petris
I'm not so sure. The vast majority of Commodore 64 software is no longer commercially available (why would it be?), and in many cases, the developers and publishers went out of business decades ago, so you couldn't pay them for the software even if you wanted to. A lot of it is considered "abandonware" these days and is freely available at a number of websites simply because there is nobody around who has any legal standing to press a copyright claim.

Re: Petris
Oh, I don't care about—ok, fine. Someone link me to an open-source tetris and I'll just change the sprites and artwork.
