Favorite Whitecross song (& why)
Alright this is my last one
I LOVE Whitecross
What is your favorite song by them? And why? They have a real special place with me so a lot of their songs make me get emotional
Well, automatically I would say Walk With Me
Or End of the Line
Or My Love
But there's too many to do that.
Deep down I know that it's Behold. That song really makes me get emotional
It's probably my favorite 'worship' song. It'll always make me think of the night I gave my life to Jesus

Re: Favorite Whitecross song (& why)
Raspy singers are not typically my thing, but man I loved some Whitecross. I drummed along to songs off of Triumphant Return quite a bit. If I want to go back and listen to the Rex era of WC, I'm definitely pulling out High Gear. It was kind of the Rex show-off show by that point, but I really liked the songs on that one. Truth be told though, I don't listen to Whitecross much anymore, but when I do it's probably the post Rex album, Unveiled. I thought the production was really good. Definitely more polished, with some cool mixing stuff thrown in. And I thought the songs were fantastic.
I believe it was Barry Graul on guitar. He's had a fine career for sure.
Can't say that I can name a favorite off the top of my head.

I like High Gear, but unfortunately Unveiled isn't on my Spotify.

Lookin for a reason. Main riff is nice, chorus vocals are good. Like the solo. (Nineteen eighty seven version)
Nineteen eighty seven is a good album. Better production than the originals imo

Love Rex but WC didn't do it for me as a band. Combine that with their poor recording quality, I couldn't really get into them much. That said, I liked King James much, MUCH better. The first album is great. The second album lacked Robert and Tim of Stryper. They didn't contribute to writing, but the sound was better with them. The songs were better on the first one too.

I think that's why I liked the first post Rex album. The songs were good, despite not having Rex, and the production quality was much better, IMO.brenthandy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 4:44 pmLove Rex but WC didn't do it for me as a band. Production quality doesn't really bother me too much. I wouldn't change anything about Whitecross they'll always be one of my favorites
