When recommending 80s Christian Rock bands to someone, who would be your first picks? I would first recommend

Well of course first
Petra
Daniel Amos They've proved a good recommendation for myself, why not spread the word?
Whitecross- they've really done a lot for me with the Lord n' stuff ☺️
Stryper-they were what sparked my expedition of the rest of them bands!
Barren Cross Some of the best- especially for heavy metal lovers!

Last, but most certainly Never Least,
Angelica 8) The poor guys get so snubbed-- I love them so much!💙

Hahaha, U2 & Kansas are the farthest stretches I'll allow  Those are mostly good recommendations! Haven't heard all them myself but I know/like most 8) I would recommend Bride, Snakes plus their first albums but I myself need to get to all their stuff! 😅😂

Petra 8)
White Heart
Steve Camp
Greg X. Volz
Servant
Brighton
Crumbacher
DeGarmo & Key
Twenty Twenty (They made one self-titled album in the 80s)
Prodigal
Mastodon
Newsboys (Yeah, their first couple albums were "rock", albeit Australian rock)
September (Lines Are Falling is pretty great)

...I could stretch the "rock" definition further, but I'm doing that a fair bit already, so I'll leave it at that.

20/20? I really like their song I Am Blind 👌 I don't know that you stretched it too far, I would consider the ones I know out of there 'rock'. Great choices as well!

September is very good. Also, Twenty Twenty had two albums. The second album is “Altered” and is generally more rocking than the first. Members of White Heart were involved on both albums if memory serves correctly.

Did anyone mention Vector? Their first two albums are great, and pretty different from each other.

How about a little love for JAG. Love the dudes voice. Some of the Whiteheart guys were involved with the songwriting and such. I still love the various 80's pop and rock influences in the songs.
