Favorite songs

Post by Diehardpetrafan:) » Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:31 pm

I was about 99% sure this was also a topic, but again, nothing but Christian ones came up when I searched "favorite songs" soo, yeah. It's evident what my question to you is, what are your favorite songs? This can be your current, all time, or a mix of both. I'll make my list, though it's doubtless going to be hard

(Not In Any Specific Order)
1. MT- The 77's
2. The Hurting- Tears for Fears
3. I Feel You- Depeche Mode
4. It's No Good- Depeche Mode
5. 1963- New Order
6. Ceremony- New Order
7. Vanishing Point- New Order
8. Not Enough Time- INXS
9. By My Side- INXS
10. Never Tear Us Apart- INXS

I feel that there's so much missing off this list

I'll come back to this more than the other topic- I betcha I'll come back in a week or so and have an edited list.

Wow, your song selections take me back to my youth. Have you been listening to your parents' cassettes? 8)

Impossible to list my favourites, but here are some of the songs that have stayed with me for a long time. Some are deep, but most are just cool tunes.

Makes Me Wanna Sing- Stryper
More Than a Man - Stryper
Island in the Sun - Harry Belafonte
Abraham, Martin and John - Harry Belafonte
Broken Promises - The Resurrection Band
Waves - The Resurrection Band
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
You Are My Rock - Petra
Stand Up - Petra
The Pass - Rush
La Villa Strangiato - Rush
Bullet the Blue Sky - U2
Like a Hurricane - Neil Young
Thrasher - Neil Young
Gods of War - Def Leppard
Sanctuary - Daniel Amos
If You Want To - Daniel Amos
Return of the Giant Hogweed - Genesis
Watcher of the Skies - Genesis
Runnin' Down a Dream - Tom Petty
Sloop John B - The Beach Boys
Civil War - Guns n Roses
Hercules - Midnight Oil
Arctic World - Midnight Oil
Yesterday - The Beatles
Assassing - Marillion
Messiah - Larry Norman
If God Is My Father - Larry Norman
Dance of Eternity - Dream Theater
Reality - The Daniel Band
Run From the Darkness - The Daniel Band

When you get older, many songs just stick with you. I am not a fan of how a few of these artists live their lives, but they still made some great music.

With a name like Progfan, you are probably the only other person here who knows any of these 6 songs from my list. I really like the version of Hogweed from Genesis' first live album.

Anyway, that one had some really good ones on it I think and I was really happy that it was on there.

I have way too many favorite songs to even begin to try listing them, which I suppose stretches the definition of "favorite".
