I wonder if it's Greg Hough playing the smoking lead on Backslidin' Blues.

I also wonder if Greg's influence is what gave them that southern-rock flavor during the first two records. I bet that if Greg had stayed with Petra, Washes Whiter Than would have been another rocker, but a bit more refined recording-wise.

Can you imagine Never Say Die and later with both Greg Hough and Bob playing guitars? Not that Bob doesn't do a great job all by himself, but I think Greg Hough would have given Petra an even harder rock edge... you know, with longer solos more often.
