Biological or demonic?

Post by seichu kaisho » Mon Jun 20, 2005 1:09 pm

Ya never know - maybe what I thought were my mental disorders might have actually been demons. The Bible talks about mental problems that were caused by demons instead of biological reasons. Jesus often cast out demons from crazy people, and immediately those people became sane. This could be true in my case, since the "autism" disappeared and so did the depression. (Though it was gradual, not immediate)

I'm sure not all mental problems are caused by demons - a lot probably come from biological factors that God created in some people for a purpose. Those with cerebral palsy, retardation, or other special needs - they normally have it all their life, and people with special needs give others an opportunity to serve and glorify God by helping those with the needs. So God must have created them that way. :?:

Although God makes good use of what Satan does, too. Because I was tormented with spirits of depression and suicidal wishes, I can use that as a striking spiritual testimony - about how God helped me break out of Satan's hold. Many other Christians also have similar testimonies - and those can be used to amaze and convince non-believers about the power of Jesus.

Now that you say that seichu, I suppose demonic forces are quite possible, the symptoms merely similar to Autism. In which case, even better to be delivered from them!
Rationalists always assume that the 'demons' that Jesus drove out were merely euphamisms for mental illnesses. Though true mental illnesses of course exist, I think they tread on dangerous ground when they say that.

It is wonderful what God has done (and will continue to do!) for his people. And it is an encouragement to others.
