Back in the mid 80s there was a band called Ruscha. They played at the church I attended at the time. The associate pastor came up to introduce them and made a comment like...this is going to be loud, etc. A few older people walked out. However....they were very good! Two brothers from Russia and a few guys from the US. Don't know whatever happened to them but they were good for a short time.

I have a tape of Ruscha's somewhere. It was pretty good. My friend who led me to Christ had it, and years later I saw it in a Christian bookstore, and I bought it. It's been a long time since I've listened to it, but they were pretty good. If I remember correctly, they actually were from Russia.

The Lead Vocalist was Andy Denton(at least on the tape I had of them) who went on to front Legend Seven and Identical Strangers. I haven't heard anything from him since his solo project that he did a few years ago. I think I remember hearing something about the two brothers from Russia having to go back there because their visas ran out and they couldn't get them renewed-or something to that effect. Not 100% sure about that though.
