At the end of the day, it doesn't really effect my faith at all. I just think it's interesting that with all people read into characters som much, that Superman was created with those traits on purpose.

But my point was your "end of the day" statement. People I think put way too much stock in the Hollywood version of reality, whether that's about Christ or Harry Potter. There are plenty of films that have nothing to do with witchcraft or evil that I've felt guilty after the fact wasting my time watching ("American Beauty," I'm looking at you here. )

That is scary huh? Our society is caught up in a non-reality based reality. People really need to study and know the truth themselves instead of waiting for someone else to come and show it to them all the time. We should know the Word and what Jesus and living for Christ is, instead of looking at tv, and movies, or music (entertainment) all the time for example. I agree with you on that.

I guess I'm a perfect example of what you were talking about with how folks don't understand the initial vision for the Superman story. All I know is Miss Tessmacker was no Mary Magdelane!

But I guess all I'm getting at is that people can seem to approach these kinds of films like they are just so important. Still, given whatever creative intent/plagirism may be present, somebody walking around with a W.W.S.D. bracelet on would seam on initial review to be in need of a chat.
