That's true. I meant if you have a specific question someone on the board can answer, it might be better to just e-mail them. And it's certainly more constructive to deal with disagreements privately rather than on a public message board. Keeping things simple and keeping the amount of off topic posts to a minimum has its place too.

It's far from being the first time things have gone off topic and it probably won't be the last.

Definitely buying it. As far as the cover art is concerned....meh. While I prefer John, I am greatly looking forward to hearing this lineup with modern recording. I know a bunch of people who will be buying it.

I will be buying the new CD. The question I have is whether John and Bob will still do II Guys and/or Farewell Petra shows or did the Classic Petra venture close those ventures down.

Being that "Classic Petra" is being pushed as a different thing. I don't see why "PETRA" with John needs to shut down; it may be on hold until after the Classic Petra tour is over.

However, remember John is pushing his solo stuff more these days.

And you know something? For a Band that is officially retired; we're sure having a lot of arguing over nothing.

We should be so blessed that we get to see not just one version of Petra, but TWO. How many bands do you know, where we can say, "hmm, I get to go and see such and such version of this band live in person”? not often guys, we sure can’t say that about Journey

Why are we fighting about this? John will perform again, I mean Petra just had a few shows, I'm sure there will be more.

Don't you think that five guys who plowed the way for what we have today deserve to get together and at least make an attempt to see if they can do it all over again? I’m excited to see who Petra was during the Beat the System days, all be it they are older but it’s all five guys none the less.

Does anyone really think that Bob is being mean to John?
Does anyone really think Greg is trying crush out John?

Is there really a need for all of this arguing? They are all grown men and their decisions are theirs to make, not ours and I think its past time that we as fans grow up and stop bickering over needless junk. I mean it’s good to have debate about things, but we end up taking it to a new level; one level that shouldn’t be reached as Christians.

I'm off my box of Tide now 8)

Apparently some people around here actually do think that.

Yes, one of me is definitely enough! And it's good for the market value if there aren't too many like me. A couple of years ago there were many more active Petra collectors around, but most of them are hardly ever around anymore.
