Watching Louie on Classic Petra (TBN)

Calm down Felipe. I've been to enough concerts over the years to understand what they mean. I don't think the comments were meant to be a personal attack on Louie. None of these guys are perfect. They're human just like any of the rest of us, and they probably did what they had to at the time. And like I said, it wasn't only Louie who was in tears.

I think Shell hit the nail and drove it down to the core. You people think you got it all figured out. Being in a band is like being married. For things to go wrong theres got to be mistakes made on both sides. Ungodly is a very strong term to throw out so easily to a man of God that served this band longer than anybody else except Bob. What a way to thank his service. After so long i also would have wanted a bigger piece of the pie too, if i am going to spend my productive life on this band, you betcha i would, its only fair. I think all these comments have been ungodly, cowardly low blows for lack of a better term. You guys should be in a band sometime to taste what it is, to see how difficult christian band members get along. Come on go to a higher standard, than just badmouthing someone who gave you so much, costing him so much. Judging is great huh? There is a reason why on the Never Say Dinosaur CD there is a song called Louie's Solo.

To what comments in particular are you referring to? I feel like there is a lot of assuming going on in your post. You have seen me and others post here long enough to know that we don't do the things you're describing in your post. Take it easy, bro!

I think it's amusing that even though *no one* said anything negative about John it only took about seven posts for John's supporters to have to tune in his favor and start disparaging Louie, subtely as usual, but there all the same.

I went back and reread all the posts. There was nothing in them about Louie being right or wrong, just that some of us were happy to see him back.

To the person who PMed me this week, I'd like to point this situation out as a perfect example of what we discussed. There was no need to turn the tide of this thread, accuse Louie of being ungodly, etc. just because some John supporters seemed to take it as a slight to him since he was the one who let Louie go. Talk about being oversensitve, as I was accused of being, well, I'd like to point out that John supporters can be touchy as well.

As another poster said, there are always two sides to every story. Louie will always be more Petra to me than John ever could be, but that doesn't mean I (or any one implied in this thread) believe either John or Louie was 100% right in whatever happened to cause the rift between. That also doesn't take away from the fact that many of us are thrilled to have Louie back behind the Petra drum kit.

Shame on those of you who are airing dirty laundry about Louie in order to make John look perfect. Louie is not hear to tell his side of it and you guys are announcing hearsay and gossip. Very ungodly behavior and very uncalled for. Let's remember this is a Christian board and give the guy a little respect.
