Classic Petra is in no way being excluded from the Pethead convention which is definitely to celebrate all eras of the band. Greg, Bob, Louie, John and Mark will definitely be sent invitations as will as many former members that can be tracked down (I know some of the original members already have). And who knows if CP will perform if they do make an appearance. If they do though, it won't be because they were hired to do so. The CCRPS is very limited financially but since Rob already had some history with John Schlitt, he was able to work out a deal that was affordable. Instead of being nitpicky about who may or may not be there or who may or may not make an appearance or perform there, we should be thrilled that the CCRPS has been able to offer us the opportunity to celebrate 40 years of a band that we all love.Preacherman777 wrote:I'm sorry if my questioning the exclusion of Classic Petra from this idea of Pethead convention was so offensive.

2. Would anyone want to set up a MERCH table and sell whatever? (does not have to be Petra-related)
I have plans for this. You, Rob and I need to talk regarding potential Schlitthead merchandise that I have ideas for. I also have some other Christian Rock-related items that will be available.
3. Who has memorabilia that they would like to bring and display?
I have some signed memorabilia that I will sharing as well.

I listened to some of your music, Mike! Good stuff! You should come to the Pethead convention and perform some of your songs and maybe a Petra cover or two!Preacherman777 wrote:If you like Petra you might like my music. You can download it free.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I don't have a band though. My stuff is essentially a studio project.

Just bring tracks. Saw Matthew Ward last week and even John last year and that's what they did. If it makes you feel better, get cardboard cutouts of bandmembers to stand around you. LOL!Preacherman777 wrote:Thank you, I appreciate that. I don't have a band though. My stuff is essentially a studio project.

We were talking about performing at the Pethead Convention. Since that's the topic of this thread, I'm not quite sure how we could stick any closer to the subject!Daniel wrote:[img]

No seriously, I think this is going to a lot of fun and a great chance for everyone to have a great time talking about our favorite band, and share stories. I vote that Jonathan is a MC of sorts.

I don't think there's much of a chance of wresting the emceeing duties away from Rob. LOL! But it certainly will be a great time!Daniel wrote:No seriously, I think this is going to a lot of fun and a great chance for everyone to have a great time talking about our favorite band, and share stories. True true, Jonathan could do a Petra comic routine spot.thetoonguy wrote:I don't think there's much of a chance of wresting the emceeing duties away from Rob. LOL! He could also perform... if he's still doing mime. Seriously - his troupe did a FANTASTIC job back in 2001 at the first Convention... they performed to a Petra song (Just Reach Out) too. It was superb!True true, Jonathan could do a Petra comic routine spot.

Good luck getting the mic out of my hands...lol
I am amazed at all of the negative on this board. Can we please make it go away?
This is a God driven event. So let’s remember that.
I will have hotel and ticket prices posted soon. I will keep you all up to date as things progress.
Now go forth and rock!

Nice! I'm hoping to go, but life is very busy so we will see. If God wants me there than he will find the way and means.
