The guys that started this website were in Indy a couple of months ago and got a lot of press coverage. I think they are doing a good thing, and they seemed very sincere. It is a bit radical, but it takes radical to get people's attention sometimes, especially the MTV generation. There's a lot of good that can come from the internet, but there is also a lot of bad, and I've known some people that have been sucked up into some awful sexual situations because of the easy availability of bunnies and pornographic groups on the internet. And these are adults. I can't imagine how coarse our society will become 10 or 20 years from now with kids and teens already exposed to every sexual sin imaginable. They will be as indifferent to sex as they are to violence. As much as I enjoy poking fun at the 3 or 4 people I know who rarely or never get on the internet, I sort of have a strange respect for them because I know it is easy to fall into undesirable habits or even sin while surfing the web.
Sorry, but this is just a really big issue for me. I scares me sometimes that people don't understand how they are being manipulated and desensitized to coarse language, violence and sexual perversion/sin. I came to realize it when I accidentally ended up with Showtime and HBO for a couple of months. Our cable went out and when they came to fix it, all of the sudden we had these two channels. Now, I am not a movie buff; the last time I went to the theater to see a movie was "Dead Poets Society" in like 1988. Since we had these channels, I decided to watch a couple of the movies everyone just raved about. One of them was "Thelma and Louise." I was appalled at the language and violence. When I mentioned it to a couple of people, they acted like I was nuts. There is also some show on HBO about people's real-life sexual activities that not only was disgusting and shocking, it almost made me throw up. Lots of people think "Sex and the City" is just another comedy. Now I may be naive in some areas, and frankly, I thank God that I am. I don't think I have a need to know about all of the ills and perversions of society in order to live a full life.
OK, getting off my soapbox for now.

I thought this web site was a parody at first; I haven't had a chance to check it out very carefully. I'll do that later.
The stuff on HBO is garbage, it's really sad they would take something that's supposed to be special between a husband and wife and cheapen it by broadcasting it on T.V. As long as there are people who will watch it though...They think anyone who says anything about the garbage on T.V. is crazy and scream about "freedom of speech." I don't hear too much about someone's right not to watch it. I live in the Sin Capital of the country, and I work in the medical field. I type reports all the time about people with health problems that could be avoided. A lot of the medical problems I see are because people don't take care of themselves, because of a sinful lifestyle and/or just plain old fashioned stupidity. I see the consequences of sinful behavior all too often; I don't shock easily. It's just sad they don't see God has a better plan for them.
At the risk of getting roasted, although it's not something I watch regularly at all, I did watch "Sex In The City" a couple of times out of curiousity to see what the fuss was about, and it was funny in some ways. Those gals were absolutely clueless. However, if they wanted to be realistic, the writers should have had the characters getting into a lot more trouble for sleeping around like they did. They made it seem like a promiscuous lifestyle was cool. I would have been curious to see what happened if one of the characters got HIV, hepatitis C or that sort of nasty stuff. Of course, people living that way tend to think it could never happen to them until it's too late. God tells us you wait until you're married for a reason.
