Re: Fake Drums Wish

The thing to remember is that Petra was the Christian Def Leppard.... This would certainly be so in regards to Petra's work with the Elefante bros during the late 80's to early 90's. UP seemed to the climax of the Elefantes trying to craft a Def Leppard/Mutt Lange soundalike. Pull out the black gos...

I believe it very likely that there was a lot of post production done on the CITAS audio by JDB. It has that very clean sound that tends to require a lot of additional work. It's kind of like listening to Yanni - Live at the Acropolis. It sounds great (one of my favorite live recording as a matter o...

My understanding has been that the music clubs are generating their own copies from masters provided by the label. The club negotiates a price for the use of the master and how many copies they can make from it. It's obvious that they generate profit from lower overhead costs and cutting out the "mi...

I can recall numerous albums and songs that he was apart of. On many albums he did not produce necessarily the whole album, but he would p...

Night of Bummer

Well I watched it for nothing. My wife asked if I was going to tape it and I said "no, I think I will stay up and watch it to see Petra". I should have taped it. I wouldn't have wasted 2 hrs. On a side note, I wonder how many of the artists/vocalists would have been happy with the recorded mix they ...

My understanding is that only the committees or members who go over the initial nominations receive product to listen to. These people make sure that the nominations meet the proper criteria and are entered into the proper categories for the initial voting to establish who will make it for the final...

Spring Tour Suggestion

I think Petra should hit the road with Tate this spring. While Tate's new album is a lot more "popish" than Jekyl and Hyde, it's widely known they rock live. I think the two bands styles could blend well and play to an audience that would be receptive to both bands. Having an ex-Petra member in Tate...
