CITAS or CITS

Post by Pethead1 » Sun Oct 19, 2003 8:31 pm

I went to see Greg X Volz today and I asked him was it CITAS or CITS.
I wrote it down so it would be easer to explain. Well,he looked at me like I was crazy(I did not tell him we all were). So I explained to him the debate between CITAS or CITS. He keep looking at it and saying " Captured In Time And Space,Captured in Time Space" over and over again. Then I think it dawned on him I was going to settle this once and for all and he told me, Why can't you just spell it out? I have never used eather"
So it seems we are pasted square 1 like -4 now. That or MJ has talked to him and missed with his mind.Image
Also I told him we wanted to get CITAS on DVD. He said he has tried himself and gets nowere. I had a great time any way.

Greg X

Post by Michael » Mon Oct 20, 2003 8:01 am

Sheesh... give it a rest already!

For the record... Greg X. visited the petition and signed it weeks ago. :) This weekend I wrote several drafts of my letter to EMI, who apparently now owns the Star Song catalog. I want to get it just right before I send it, but in the process I did learn something interesting. The name I was given as head of the EMI Christian division was Mark Dunn, and further reserch bears that out. But check out this part of a May, 2003 EMI press release:
As previously announced, Mark Dunn, senior director DVD, is responsible
for developing and implementing strategies for growing EMI's rapidly
expanding DVD release programme.

Collen and Lauriot-Prevost said: "We've established a structure that has
been highly successful in the past six months with multi-million selling
albums from artists including Norah Jones, Coldplay, Robbie Williams and
Blue Now it is time to build our catalogue, commercial and international
repertoire functions so that we can provide the best possible support for
our artists and labels."
Isn't it interesting that the one guy who would know about, or know how to find out about, that project... is now in charge of scaring up new DVD projects? Hmm!

Well, I'll be good and won't say anything. :D

I wouldn't worry about Greg looking at you like you're crazy Debbie; it's a requirement for Petheads to be crazy.

CITS Petition

Post by Michael » Tue Oct 21, 2003 3:27 pm

I put the petition letters in the mail today. If you've been waiting to sign for some reason, now would be a cool time... if the record company looks at the page I'd like for them to see a noticeably LARGER number of signatures than I said in the letter!

I'll try and get the letter itself up on the Guide sometime soon...
