Pizza Dreams

Post by Susannah » Mon Oct 25, 2004 4:19 pm

I've always heard about people having strange dreams after they eat pizza before they go to bed. People in my own family get them. But as far as I can recall, I've never had any. So last night, I deliberately ate a piece of pizza at midnight before I went to bed, as a test. No pizza dreams...in fact, I didn't even have any dreams at all, which is unusual for me. Could be that pizza has the opposite effect on me, now that I think of it.

Anyways, I was just wondering who here gets pizza dreams?

Hmmm........that's interesting, I've never experienced that. The only thing that happens to me after I eat pizza is that I wake up with heartburn in the middle of the nite... :P

I get heartburn too if I eat too late at night, LOL. Especially if it's something like pizza. My dreams are usually connected in some way to what's gone on that day, and I forget them pretty quickly when I wake up.

I've never sleepwalked, although I did have to get up in the middle of the night to clean my ears the other night. And I do talk in my sleep.

....................

Post by bakersfieldpethead » Tue Oct 26, 2004 10:58 pm

I had a pizza for dinner one night, but sense i stay up late I saved some for later........I then had cold pizza just before i went to bed

I had a dream that i was playing on a teeter totter and a bird landed on the other seat and sent me 5,000 feet in the air and I got stuck on a moon rock and a little frog was there and said "ribbit, hey man it happend to me too" well I noticed there was another teeter totter on the moon rock and so I set down on and told the frog to jump on the other side and so he did and then I went air born again 6,000 feet further I was sitting on mars and a dude came up to me and said "son it's time to get up, you have to get ready for church" I thought wow this dude is crazy, he sounds like my mom.

Then i woke up and there was an alien sleep walking into the wall several times and he sounded like frog, and I said "dude what are you doing here" and he said "thanks for not eating the frog legs." I said "no problem and quit eating pizza before you go to bed.".....

well you know it's just one of those things you do that lets you know you're gonna pay later.

I think I talk in my sleep too. Have you ever recorded yourself while sleeping? I wish I had. It would be hilarious to make a tape of people sleep-talking. One time while in a hotel room my dad heard me singing in my sleep. I asked him what I was singing and he said he couldn't tell - it sounded like "uuhhehheehhuuhhrrrrhhh" or so. I do recall that in that dream, the Weird Al song "Traffic Jam" was playing in my head, so apparently that was what I was trying to sing to.

Only once, I think, did I ever sleepwalk. This was over 2 years ago, a night before a trip with my youth group that I was looking forward to, so I guess that's what caused this to occur. I apparently got up to use the bathroom and when I turned the light on I saw this weird flash of crazy colors in my eyes and I started to have a splitting headache - and extremely lightheaded. Then I started dancing funny and talking deliriously and then I probably fainted - then woke up finding myself on the floor and wondered what the heckity-heck just happened.
