First of all it's "Chili," not "Chily." Secondly, I think it is a great band name.

There was some band from the 80s called "The The." That always sounded pretty stupid to me.

I was once in a jazz band called The Cosmic Possum Platoon, and I hated the name.

I don't know about band names. Sometimes they represent the music (like AC/DC) sometimes they don't. I think that if the fan likes the music, then the fan can deal with the name. Most of the time.

Tree63,Switchfoot,Duran Duran,Gladys Knight and The Pips,The Benjamin Gate,O.C. Supertones but ya know some of these bands are pretty cool despite thier names.

According to VH1 all bands named after a piece of geography suck; meaning bands like Boston, Kansas, Europe, ec. I don't agree with a blanket statement like that. Clearly, Petra does not suck!
