mantequilla = butter, manteca = fat or lard
In Spanish, the word "pound" is libra, but that's very close to the word libro, which means "book."
While studying Spanish one day, I came across the phrase una libra de mantequilla and at first I thought it meant "butter book" instead of "a pound of butter."
