So, I ordered "Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out" on CD.
Now, at first glance it looks okay, then you turn it over to the back cover - completey white, with an oddly blury track listing. I took out the paper thing, and it was just one page, not even anything on the back side of it. And then I looked at the copyright (which can be hard to read considering the fuzzieness) and it said 1997.
So, is this the only CD version of it, or just a cheap version they re-released?

Petra Praise 1 was released by Word records. If what you have purchased isn't a CD-R copy/fake, it is possible it is a foreign distribution copy. What you need to look for is a distributor description if there is one on the CD. Word Records uses many other distributors in foreign countires and they produce their own copies a master copy, and some of them are bnot of the best quality.
i.e. - In the Czech Republic, Word was distributed by Rosa Records. In Germany and Europe, I believe it was another branch of Word Records. (I may not be remembering correctly on the German issues, it has been too long since I was there.)

c and p 1989, 1997 Word Records, a division of Word Entertainment, Inc. Manufactured and Distributed by Word Entertainment, Inc. 3315 W??? End, Nashville, TN 3#203. IN Canada Word Entertainment (Canada), Inc.
I can't really make out the rest of it......it's like all hazy, and has an odd "digital" look to all of it...........but only the back cover.
The CD is deffinitely real...the back is silver, and it even has copyrights........oh, and the CD itself just has 1989, not 1997, so maybe it was just the packaging that was changed......I ordered it from www.christianbook.com which is where I also got most of my older Petra CDs (some of which were a similar way, on StarSong instead of Word, and had more album packaging)....luckily it only cost me 6.49, so I'm not complaining

re-release
I know I bought a re-release of an old 80's Randy Stonehill CD that had packaging similar to that. As long as the music sounds good, no worries... the only thing you're missing is a few strange photos and the lyrics. And Petra lyrics are easy to come by... for one place, on my Web site you can visit http://www.GuideToPetra.com/PP and click on any song's title to see the lyrics. In fact, if you click on the first song and then scroll down and click on "All the songs from Petra Praise The Rock Cries Out" you can get the full list, then you can print it if you want.
