Good interview, and that is good news for White Cross fans. :D

There are several familiar names when he talks about people he likes too. :D

Very nice interview and great impressions of Quentin and John. I hope White Cross has great success. Maybe this is the beginning of a comeback for real Christian rock. :D

The return of classic metal

Post by bakersfieldpethead » Fri Feb 11, 2005 2:40 am

With "Stryper" and "Whitecross" back and "Bride" and "Petra" still going, who knows there may have to be a new Festival.

Now we need Whiteheart to make a come back, that would be cool and maybe Stryken and Bloodgood also. We need some good classic bands to do something new together.

Maybe this is the age of the come backs.......it's been happening in other means of Christian Music, CCM and Southern Gospel as well.

Welcome to 1990...

<two cents> From a relationship standpoint, I'm very glad that Scott Wenzel and Rex Carroll have made amends. Reconciliation is a cool, biblical idea that doesn't happen enough. Salvaging any friendship is worthwhile, especially when said friendship has such a long history.

<opinion> Moving on... to me, Whitecross didn't accomplish their best work until Rex Carroll left the band and Barry Graul took over the reins as guitarist for Whitecross. Don't get me wrong... 'Walk with Me', 'Down', 'In the Kingdom', et al. will always be mainstays in classic Christian rock. But 'Goodbye Cruel World', 'I Keep Prayin', and 'Full Crucifixion" are delicious morsels from a completely different cookie... like the soft kind... you buy at the mall... and they're 18" wide... mmmmmmm....

Admittedly, Flytrap was kind of a letdown...</opinion></two cents>

Maybe Whiteheart will get back together if we all pool our resources and buy a house or two from Rick, Riq, Ricke, Rikk, Rhic, (etc.). I could see it happening.

<opinion mk II> All this is kind of moot anyway since Guardian and Legend Seven were REALLY what Christian rock glory days were all about... </opinion mk II>

I hope this isn't mean, but my first reaction to Rick's site was laughter...just something about his pic in a tie...so not the rock star I am used to seeing.

I sort of laughed at seeing Rick (or however you spell it) in a tie also...What a change from his Whiteheart days...He's still cute though. :D

Hey, I was just at the Liberty n' Justice site and tried to listen to the songs, but crappy AOL wasn't working too well. I'll have to listen to them on my mom's computer, she has DSL and not stinkin' dial up. The interview with Leif Garrett is pretty good...I remember him. :D
