Question about PP2
Question about PP2
Who is singing the low part at the very beginning of "Let Our Voices Rise Like Incense?" It sounds too low for both Johns - Schlitt & Elefante. I always wondered who it was.

Re: Question about PP2
Always have thought it was the Schlittmeister myself ... he has a pretty awesome range. If you keep listening it sounds more like him at certain times. I thought that he just did the multi-octave thing like he did in Revival where they mixed his voice into multiple parts. But, I guess it could be someone else and if so, it would probably be denoted in the liner notes ... Sue should be able to find outJan wrote:Who is singing the low part at the very beginning of "Let Our Voices Rise Like Incense?" It sounds too low for both Johns - Schlitt & Elefante. I recall it being John. You should see them do that song in concert, pretty awesome. They were ending that tour with that song and then going right into "I Stand in Awe"

Wow - he really DOES have an amazing range then. All these years I thought I was hearing 2 different singers, but it was all John. Awesome.

Re: Question about PP2
He doesn't get enough credit for his low range.

Re: Question about PP2
Possibly because he hardly ever uses his low range?
It's just on Let Our Voices Rise Like Incense and Send Revival, Start With Me that we get to hear John's low range, isn't it?

Re: Question about PP2
He doesn't prefer to use his low end, because it is not his power range. He doesn't like it, at least that is what he told me. PP2 had vocal support from the outside.
