I wonder if the heat helped John's voice at all? I know it's uncomfortable for the rest of your body, but I would think that warm, probably humid air would be good for your throat - at least when jogging, I find that warm air is much easier on the lungs than cold. Regardless, John sounded top notch - I haven't heard that good of a performance since the Farewell video was taped. When he's doing the 2 Guys shows he usually sings a lower harmony on songs like "Lord I left Your Name on High" - I figured that his range had finally dropped so he couldn't sing that melody any more. Glad to be completely, absolutely wrong!fcollazo wrote:WOW! ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! JOHN SOUNDED INCREDIBLE! I EVEN DARE TO SAY THIS PERFORMANCE WAS BETTER THAN THE ONE IN FAREWELL. HE SOUNDS CLEAR, ON PITCH, NOT GASPING FOR AIR, HOLDING NOTES, NOT AS RASPY. HE CAN DEFINITELY PULL IT OFF FOR PETRA FOR MORE!

The temps and elevation make it hard to sing.
To me it appears that they are digging it. John is pulling the crowd along.
