Surprised no one talked about this yet

My first reaction is that I don't like the song. It seems to be in bad taste to do a bouncy, pop-country song about such a serious situation. It's like they are being flippant about it, but maybe it was unintentional.

I agree, the song is a bit hokey. This whole thing could be a big bust whether you are for it or against. I thought I heard reports today, that the people behind the mosque don't have anywhere near enough money to build it, and it might be tough for them to get it.

I admit it. At first, I was bothered. But, I don't think it should be a big deal. We ALL know who was behind it. We ALL know who took credit for it. So, a rec center with a mosque three or four blocks away isn't going to make us or break us. Heck, why wasn't there a Christian organization putting something there amidst the bunnies shops and donut shops? If there would have been a Christian response, would we be making a big deal about this? I don't know.

The thing is, I had just been in NY one month before, right at the WTC and in the surrounding area. I was to be on a plane to NY on 9-11. I went two or three days later (via Junior Brown's tour bus), and I saw the hole in the wall of the Pentagon. I talked to a number of people that worked around the WTC, and at the gas station/convenience store across from the pentagon. There are too many holes. There are too many unexplainable pics. There are too many broadcasts still on youtube and other places for people to watch now, that completely disagree with what we have been fed as truth. I don't trust our own government.

My father works for one of the largest architectural firms in CA. Their engineering guys did the math on the WTC. The structure was designed to take an airplane hit. The structure was collapsed from the inside out. Again, if you check out the footage from live broadcasts before the collapse, you can hear the demolition explosives going off and the reporters discussing them. There is no way so many people could be tardy for work.

That brings me to another point. I was in Tulsa when the OKC bombing occurred. We had footage of the second dude running down the street, AND live broadcasts of the GOVERNOR of OK saying the correct number of explosions he heard himself. It was not one. All of the security cams were removed, footage removed, and people silenced. We went to church and were friends with an FBI trainer. He and others received pages not to come to work that day. It messed him up so badly that he and his wife eventually divorced and he signed up to go to Iraq to kick some tail.

I didn't know that (broadcasts). Do you have links? I would like to see them. If you think the government was complicit, what would their reason be?

I don't know if our government is smooth enough to pull off something like this. Maybe they had help.

All I know is there are too many pics of those planes going into the WTC, and too many eye witness reports, that prove those were not commercial airliners. I know that they were finding papers from the cockpit, tires and seat cushions in the pentagon, meanwhile all of the escapees spoke of all of the metal turning to liquid because of the heat. The colors of the "plane" found do not match American Airline's colors, etc, etc, etc. Too many pilots have come forward to prove that no jetliner could fly just above the grass like that and not leave a mark, not in the hands of a rookie.

Someone will crack in time. Their sins will be shouted from the roof tops. I don't believe any politician anyway, much less one that says he is a Christian. Too many people throw that descriptor around. Look at the goof we have in the Whitehouse now. He has to have someone come out and say he is one, because his actions so prove otherwise.

I don't believe Bush is a Christian. He said once that Jesus wasn't the only way to heaven. Of course Obama isn't a Christian either. I agree with Brent, I don't trust the gov't regardless of party.

I am convinced we can no longer have a TRUE Christian as President without getting into trouble. Presidents must lie, politicize and posture. President's cannot call a spade a spade. They cannot tell the Truth. They just can't without WWIII breaking out.

Somehow, I think when we get to heaven, we will all be shocked at all of the evil workings occuring behind the scenes. We will all be thankful we have been delivered from such a fragile world, ruled by that sneaky snake in the grass, Satan.

Bush is a casual Methodist, so....I am gonna step in it and say that I agree with you. Methodism is more about social justice and keeping an oprn mind, throwing out the Truth to attract non-religious and nominally religious people. It is a denomination surviving on compromise. I know first hand. I was on staff at the largest Methodist church in the USA, credited for resurrecting the dying denomination. This is not to say that there are not saved people in the Methodist church. This is to say that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not the draw or the push for that denomination like it once was when this country was young.

What a mess! There are 9-11 conspiracy theories, then others saying they have been debunked; pictures were altered, etc. My head is spinning from reading about it. Time to chill. Think I'll go listen to "Trust" by PDC.

If this was done by our goverment in order to start a war, I hope that all of the b-----ds fry in hell. So many innocent people died that day, and so many lives affected by it, even mine and I live in Oklahoma. Every time I see video of it it pi$$es me off. I do believe that some of the video and pictures have been altered for peoples agenda's but not all of it.

What happened to the Petrazone? The whole lot of you are nuts! Only a few years ago this kind of talk would have people questioning your salvation. How could you think Bush isn't a Christian?! How could you suggest the Republicans don't represent the Church?! This kind of talk would never have been tolerated here in the past. (not that I'm complaining, again, just saying how surprised I am).

Typically I do speak for the entirety of the Zone, but not in this case.

For me personally, it was coming to the realization of my own identity in Christ, and that I belonged to Christ first (instead of a particular randomly apportioned political nation. I don't know that I gave any party preference over the other in a blanket way, but I may have. I don't have time to look through all my posts. Like any other nation, the US will "elect" it's own leaders. I question now how certain church leaders represent the church.

America is not God's nation. Israel is God's centerpiece. We believers are grafted into the family of Abraham. We are brothers with Christ by adoption. Sometimes this all gets over spiritualized needlessly. This is what it is. We are seeing the beginning of the last days. Have you guys read or seen the video about Iran's new drones? Remember what that cooky president said? He was going to wipe Israel from the map? With a Muslim (he is one or he would deny it outright and quit talking about his holy scriptures in the way Muslims say the name and speak about them. He was born into it and raised in it. If he were a real Christian, he would have a target on his back for forsaking the "faith".) in the Whitehouse, be prepared for Israel to be punished for not bending over and taking it.
