First off I think you have taken this too far especially since John has already confirmed through Sue(his official spokesperson) that everything is cool, so why take it any farther?

Second thought I do think you have a point about nothing being black or white anymore, but I don't think this applies here.

I just hope there are no favoritisms here. Some here have questioned Greg's integrity with his divorces, and his TBN gospel style, and nobody cried about it like this. I agree the payroll thing was out of line, and I apologize for it publicly, the same way I was publicly threatened.

I think all should be treated with respect here, even I someone does not agree with their opinion. I am a health care professional, married, with a family, and have served in my church worship team on guitar since 1986, so I have many acts come and go, and in most cases it boils down to integrity. I am not trying to be the most pious guy here, but my intentions are not to cause division, I just asked an honest question that some people here have and are afraid to ask, out of fear of being shut down.

You guys know how many times here several people have posted the fact that some people seem to be unhappy with Classic Petra and any success it might have, just by the way they post, and the skeptics are defended.

Now is it fair for John to think that all future Petra reunions after 2005 should be only the so called Dream Team or Farewell Team only, because that is the sense me and others had by Sue's reaction to the news early in the year. It seemed that if Bob and John are so close, either Bob did not tell John about it on time, or John did not tell Sue on time or ever for a reason. Let's have honest and civil debate.

I have to ask, define Health care professional? my wife is a Health care professional and she would never have the time to post on the zone.

I am self a employed Geriatrician, and I do not work weekends even if I make less money so I can be with my family and have my band with my wife.

fcollazo,
While I agree that Greg has pretty much been fair game on this board, I don't think the answer to that problem is to go after John. John and Greg are both good men who have a right to their private lives and who have both given greatly of themselves for the sake of ministry. None of us are perfect, them included and that's why we all need Jesus. Now if one or the other was out there living in willful sin and/or promoting the same, there would be a place to make something of it, but that's not the case. Just because others are hard on Greg does not mean that you or I who are offended by that and by the seeming acceptance and defense of that, should return evil for evil. If you don't like to see it done, don't do it.

ThanK you Preacherman for validating my point, that's exactly what I meant, Greg has always been fairgame here. I agree now that we understand I am not unreasonable, we should not pay with the same token. To me they both try to honor and serve God with their lives, and that is what matters.

I do wish John would acknowledge Classic Petra publicly. He's just such a large part of Petra's legacy. I can understand if his feelings are hurt a little, and I think others on the board should be as well. He has given a good portion of his life to this band. As Christians we are still human. He has to at least be taken back by it a little. Here is a band who called it quits a few years ago that he was largely identified with and even served as the leader on the road after the founder's retirement. John and Bob prayed about this difficult decision, and retired the group. Now, the former lead singer, the guy John replaced, is "getting the band back together." I'm sure he understands and wishes them all the best, but... he's probably questioning alot of things about it. I think anyone in that situation would. John Schlitt is one of the Christians who exist in this world that I respect more than almost anyone else on the planet, but this event has to have at least some toll on his mind. I know I would have trouble with it. I'm sure he will eventually address it... and I'm sure that will be in the form of a blessing. We just need to give the man time. This can't be easy!
