It's obvious that the people here on the Zone are starving for something new. John is seriously considering putting out another album - or at least a few singles. This would be what you want to hear -- pure ROCK from that classic rocker voice.

The question is: would you be willing to do some pre-ordering to fund the project?

If I know it's gonna be rockin', there's no question I would pre-order. I would also very much like the entire acoustic version of "I'm ok" or a rocked out version would be good too. The one I'm hearing is too poppy.

I can also pretty much assure that there would be plenty of folks over at the Christian Metal Realm who would be very interested as well as long as they know it's gonna rock.

I had a few questions for the administrator of the ClassicPetra.com site.

I asked if merchandise will be available at the taping - yes

I was hoping to buy a shirt. Will they be in 2X or 3X sizes for us bigger-framed people? - He said they would work on that.

Finally and most importantly - They are hoping to have the digital song downloads ready by the middle of next week (first week of November).

Maybe he can package a disc of demos and unreleased stuff. I would be interested in that.

I would also wager that most Petheads would be more comfortable in a 2x to 3x at this point.

I doubt that John would ever package demos or un-finished music. He's too much of a professional to intentionally let anything out that wasn't up to his standards. I'll guarantee that.

In fact, I told him about the conversation here, and how people would love to hear his unfinished stuff -- and he said that since it wasn't in a form that he felt comfortable releasing, production-wise, he wouldn't put it out there.

But a new album by John would DEFINITELY rock. In fact, he just said today that "this would be a rocker - I'm not gonna do any slow pop-ish sounding stuff. People want rock? I'll give it to 'em!"

Sue, how many copies does John need to see preordered to start recording? I can't imagine preorders even hitting 1k without major money spent on advertisements, etc. Why not just sign a 360 deal?
