I wonder if Classic Petra will redo GGRRTY - I'd half expect them too, but it does seem pretty likely the Bob doesn't really appreciate that song (and I deeply respect him for having that kind of discernment); however the other band members may not have the same reservation and for all I know Greg may still like the song - it'll be interesting. IIRC Petra didn't really "retire" GGRRTTY until after John came on board.

I would prefer if they didn't do it; It's been done by so many bands and to be honest with you its never been that great of a song in any form its been done. I think they will also regret putting Back To The Rock in the track listing for this album; that song is so weak and it sounds like something we sang in 3rd grade Sunday School class or VBS.

I hope they don't record it again. That's one song that had its run.

In defense of the KISS version, maybe I only liked it because it was the ending to Bill and Teds Bogus Journey. I tear up just thinking about it. Those movies are true classics.

"Too Big to Fail" reminds me of John Schlitt era Petra... but before "wake-Up" call. I'm thinking "Beyond Belief," "Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out," "On Fire" era. It really reminds me of "Our Turn Now," the song Petra did with Carman. I really miss John on this one (no offense to Greg at all. Greg is the first singer I ever knew in Petra, and is one of my favorite singers) and can almost hear him singing it.

If they do that song, I hope it's the Come & Join Us version. The BTS version was weak.
It feels more like John doesn't like the song. They played the full version in concert during the MPTY and NOTW Tours and maybe during the BTS tour (I don't have any recordings from that tour). And after John joined they never played the song again.

And the CAJU version rules! It's the best ever.

You are right. If I'm correct, Petra played the song in the first John Schlitt concert... then the song vanished for ever...
But, I will say it again, the Come and join Us version it's my favorite version.
