Revival got some play here but not a lot. And J&h was way too heavy to get airplay in my nick of the woods.bakersfieldpethead wrote:The last single I ever heard from Petra on the Radio out here in Bakersfield, CA was "If I had to Die for Someone"

JAH got a lot of airplay here in Dallas, but I really don't think their focused on radio play. They have not even tried to ship any singles to the stations.

Well if they are doing all this on their own, and money is low, I would say so becuase some of the best radio promoters out there charge between $2500 to $3500 for a 3 month promotion of one song to all the radio stations.

John, the guy who started the site, is a huge Petra fan who loved J&H and is probably old enough to appreciate Volz era stuff. I'm not sure how influential the site is, and I have a lot of theological differences with John, but it is a very extensive site. When I wrote for them, though, the reviews outside of John's tended to be pretty shoddy.p-freak wrote:Yeah, many people are not aware. Just a few days before the digital release of the album I sent an e-mail to JFH and told them about Back To The Rock and sent them the press releases. I hope they will send someone to the show tomorrow and that they'll write a nice review. I think JFH (jesusfreakhideout) is pretty influential nowadays.

Actually, that was the album that got them the most radio exposure and got them airplay on mainstream stations.jeremywg wrote:Aman to the politics. Good music has always taken a back seat to pop garbage when it comes to radio. Even dc talk got shunned by radio when they recorded Jesus Freak.

As a matter of fact I believe that dc Talk landed to highest spot for a Christian artist on the Billboard charts at that time with that album.separateunion wrote:Actually, that was the album that got them the most radio exposure and got them airplay on mainstream stations.jeremywg wrote:Aman to the politics.
