I wasn't at the show last night, but I notice that the photos are did suffer from the difficult light conditions in the room. Low light conditions cause the camera to automatically slow down the shutter to get adequate light exposure.
This may have already been tried, but if your camera has the option, set it to "AE" or "P" or "Program AE" and then set your ISO to 1600 (or even higher on some models). On film, this is the equivalent of using faster film. You will get a bit more grain (or digital artifacts) in your photo, but it will freeze the action much better. Also, turn off the flash.
Use this method wherever you have poor light but want to freeze the action: school gyms, house gatherings.
I'm no expert, I need to fiddle around with the settings like everyone else, but maybe this is useful for someone.

Good tip! I have a 3200 ISO setting on my camera, but then it gets pretty grainy. All cameras have different amount of graininess for different ISO settings, so you have to try for yourself and see if you prefer grainy or blurry pictures.

Dead pixles / white spots in the picture are also more likely to show with a higher ISO setting.

Thanks, Boray... as the technology improves, I think the grain will decrease at higher ISO values due to the faster processing and more sophisticated CCDs in the cameras.
Just found this on wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_speed :
Digital cameras have far surpassed film in terms of sensitivity to light, with ISO equivalent speeds of up to 102,400, a number that is unfathomable in the realm of conventional film photography. Faster processors, as well as advances in software noise reduction techniques allow this type of processing to be executed the moment the photo is captured, allowing photographers to store images that have a higher level of refinement and would have been prohibitively time consuming to process with earlier generations of digital camera hardware.

Thanks P-Freak!, we had a blast, and now I understand that all the pre-done stuff has to do with the TBN TV production thing. I am sure during the tour all will be live.

There would be no reason for a tour if they were going to lipsink it. We would have the TBN show for that.
to tell you the truth I think some of those preachers on TBN lipsink their messages also

I would rather sit their painting a picture of them in concert. But hey to each his own.

I can't imagine being part of the worship team at the church that got the stage and perform from that stage.

Agreed on the Louie comments. Petra is one of the biggest reasons I'm a musician/singer today.
