I just read the lyrics of that song from U2. You guys were saying before that you didn`t think it was "christian" and that "Yahweh" there didn`t mean God.

Don`t know, I was thinking that the singer is do talking with God in that song, is not a praise song, I agreewith that, I think is more a conversation with God in a poetic form ya know. I found it very interesting.

One can't deny the fact that U2 chas used Christian words, terminology or biblical references. However, Bono has never clearly stated that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to Christ. It has been quite the opposite in some instances, when acknowledging that all religion is good, and that people are good. This is quite unscriptural. Does it make him an unbeliever? No.

For me, I would need to see more fruit than awareness campaigns, etc. Evil people do good things everyday in the name of good works, love, friendship, etc. The real question is where they put their faith and trust for their salvation. No one knows but them, because they will not say.

my career (hispanic literature) have been taught me that a text can defend itself with no help of the author. When I posted that I was talking of "the lyrics" and I never mentioned Bono maybe Bono is not christian at all but this lyrics is really interesting, I found a really interesting conversation with God there.

A text also can have many meanings and I decided to take this one.
