Louie used to go to the NAMM shows and network, play people's drums. At some point, DW gave Louie some drums, after the owner invited Louie to the plant and his house, where Louie was pleasantly surprised to learn that this guy new Petra and had a bunch of product/material on the band. Louie was not an official DW artist IIRC, but the guy loved Louie and Petra so much that Louie was hooked up. Louie's drum video was advertised in the back of drum magazines like Modern Drummer. His clinics were covered in the press, which I have long since disposed of.

I'm still interested. I have the issue of Modern Drummer with Louie's feature article in it. It has Kenny Arnoff on the front cover and I was able to get it autographed by Kenny at a drum clinic. Haven't seen Louie since I took posession of the Magazine for his signature. The shirt is cool stuff. The video is cool too.

I'm still bummed about finding out about three weeks after the fact that Louie had done a drum clinic at a church within walking distance of my house in Ottawa.

House in Ottawa? I grew up in Kanata & was at the Arlington Woods FMC show where he played drums with some local band doing "Enter In."

I lived in the Trend Arlington area at the time. Shortly after that I moved back to the East Coast.

If only we had the Petra Zone back then I wouldn't have missed it. I almost missed a John Schlitt show at Bethel Pentecostal around the same time (right when Unfit for Swine came out) but happened to see it in the paper that morning.

now check out the new tbn classic petra promo video and you will see louie crying, how much it meant for him to be in petra, probably hurt. because he was kicked out petra. you just don't do that to a man like that.
